In collaboration with the architect and client, Ahrend created an interior based on the educational vision based on various activities. The layout of the classrooms and the learning centre are tailored to the educational objective and the chosen didactic method.

Own responsibility
The design of the classroom and learning centre had to be tailored to the educational purpose and the chosen didactic method. The starting point for the design of the domains was to put the students and teachers first and to give them responsibility for their own use. The products used are therefore target group-proof. It remains natural, light and easy to handle.
Together with our interior design team, we have developed chairs and four-legged tables especially for the classrooms that can be seen earlier within the HBO in terms of execution, finish and comfort. What is special is that the teacher no longer has a desk in the classroom. Now the teacher has a round table that you can work on both sitting and standing at and that is also mobile. This table also has an input for digital devices, so that the digi- and whiteboard can be operated from there.
