IBM Studios
A formerly UniCredit building, designed by world-famous architect Michele de Lucchi, has been transformed into a fully customer-dedicated space in downtown Milan. A challenging project in terms of budget and time for both the preparation and furniture selection and installation.
Sustainable working environment
IBM is a multinational technology company that offers a range of computing solutions and technology consulting services. IBM Italia has chosen this building as a place to position its new hub for the group's innovation in the heart of the business district. The existing space needed to be reconfigured and optimized from a new agile perspective, transforming into a harmonious, flexible and sustainable working environment.

Challenging time frame
The interior redesign project was assigned to COIMA Image. In an area spanning 4,000 square meters, an innovation area open to the public was created featuring maxi-screens and experience rooms with virtual and augmented reality. Also there are workstations where the IBM technicians work flexibly. For Ahrend, one of the greatest challenges of this project was the tight time frame for furniture selection en installation.
Katerina Pavlikova, Sales Manager at Ahrend Italy: "It was a great honour for our company to be part of such a project and to work with a great team of professionals and deliver our products to one of the most distinctive and eye-catching buildings in Milan."

IBM Studios about the result
"The final result is positive and all the expectations of the end users have been satisfied. IBM Studios is now fully active with a busy schedule and it is a reference for all current and future IBM clients."
