Canopi

In the heart of London, Canopi offers flexible and affordable workspaces for social organisations, including charities. In close collaboration with architectural firm Tate Hindle, Ahrend transformed the renovated building into a vitalising workspace where people enjoy co-working. Fiona Edwards, marketing director at Canopi: ‘Ahrend created a new space that is both sustainable and stylish; furnished with office chairs and desks, meeting room furniture and innovative Ahrend Qabins.’

Hybrid workspace

Canopi moved to the existing building, which was completely stripped, including all furniture. The company was keen to overhaul their office and refresh it with new and innovative products. The update was part of the plan to keep in touch with new working practices in a post-Covid world. Fraser Cameron (Head of Marketing & Design Ahrend): ‘Most companies in the UK now work in a collaborative, hybrid office environment. An environment where you can work with fifty people in one space, but where you can also drop in to rent a desk or meeting room for a day.’

Space-in-space boxes

Ahrend furnished the office with a wide variety of Ahrend products. For example, 10 Ahrend Qabin Calls and 5 Qabin Chats have been installed around the workstations. From day one, these space-in-space boxes have proven to be hugely popular for concentrated working, informal meetings and private calls. The climate in the boxes is pleasant, both in terms of acoustics and temperature. The air inside the box is completely refreshed every minute. This way you can spend a longer time in it.
The Ahrend Alfa 200 individual desks offer space to work (together). For some rooms, Ahrend opted for seating with a more informal look and feel, while other rooms were given a more formal atmosphere. Always in line with the floor plan and the architect's color scheme.

Trust

For Canopi, the quality and range of Ahrend’s products was key. Throughout the project, the level of trust between both partners was high. Fraser Cameron: ‘The fact that Canopi gave us full autonomy allowed us to choose the products that would work best in the office environment. At the same time, the customer could rest assured that we would deliver as promised and go the extra mile if necessary. The result is an energising workspace where everyone enjoys working, whether they are there for a longer time or just passing through.’
